The BRAID initiative is a nationwide effort to diversify the CS major. This session will focus on UCLA’s research of the initiative and will outline the study’s design and present preliminary results from the first year of data collection. We will share survey findings to describe introductory CS course students’ characteristics and course experiences by students’ gender and/or race/ethnicity.
